A Gender Reveal From Above

A MyFlight Detroit Gender Reveal is a helicopter-based powder drop. At the scheduled moment, the helicopter releases approximately five pounds of blue or pink powder over the gathering below. The powder drifts down slowly, visible to everyone watching from the ground. Only our operations team knows the color until the drop, so the expecting parents and guests find out at the same time.

We offer three ways to do a Detroit gender reveal. The Reveal Moment hosts up to 10 guests at our Conner Street facility for one hour. The Reveal Party hosts up to 40 guests in our private event room for 2.5 hours, with room for food, drinks, and decor. The Off-Site Reveal brings the helicopter to a location of your choice within 25 nautical miles of our Detroit facility, where you host the gathering. You share the gender privately with our coordinator beforehand, and we handle the rest from above.

Only our operations team knows the color of the powder. The expecting parents and guests find out together when the helicopter releases the powder. You can share the gender with our coordinator privately, have your doctor or ultrasound tech send it directly, or seal it in an envelope at the booking call. We handle the rest.

For on-site packages, the helicopter hovers near the ramp, and releases blue or pink powder visible to everyone on the ground. For Off-Site Reveals, you host the gathering at your chosen location, and the helicopter flies in at the scheduled time to drop the powder overhead.

We reschedule at no charge. Helicopter reveals depend on clear weather conditions, and we'd rather move the date than compromise the experience or safety.

No. For gender reveals, only the MyFlight staff will be on the helicopter dropping the powder.

We will only release the powder when the point of contact for the event explicitly says the entire group is ready. Once confirmed, the helicopter will depart and drop the powder.
